I'll say this: Korea is a non-tipping country. They'll be confused by any tip you try to give, so if you must, please give them a real tip and not some cheesy tip just because they are used to getting nothing. It's sad when a guy feels like he's "tipping" because he rounds up to the next cheon won. Don't be a hero with the 30 cent tip. It's like impressing the Korean ladies with a 5 inch cock. Basically -- just don't tip.

note: if you just hate getting change, its ok to duck out of the cab

note 2: mcdonald's does deliver and it does breakfast all night long. Somewhere that clown is laughing.

What a bunch of tightwads!

The poor delivery guy going out in all sorts of weather for shite wages so you can sit on your fat arses in the comfort of your box and munch on burgers and pizza.

Would giving the kid a couple of bucks kill you?

I don't tip in restaurants, but I certainly do tip delivery people and couriers etc.

Good lord,I have lost all my faith in the decency of humanity.

Korea is a not a tipping country - it has nothing to do with us being tightwads... it's more to do with the deliverers' pride.

My husband told me once that basically if you tip them 1,000 won they are not going to appreciate it. So how much do you tip them? So how much do you tip them, then? If you order 6K worth of food, how much is fair?

The only exception I make is when I stay at hotels. I give the bellboys who carry my bags to my room 10K usually, and they appreciate that.

There is a reason why some places charge a service charge, so you don't have to tip.

The fancier restaurants have a service charge. Then there was the controversy on the Itaewon bar and the owner skimming tips. I dont usually tip as they would see it as an insult. Bellboys. Man won is fine. I do that and maybe a little extra for my tailor for a job well done.

I do tip taxi drivers though (round up to the next chun won). Not much, but hey.

Oh, HELL NO!
I won't tip those super selective pricks if my life depended on it.
Taxi drivers the world over are awful, but they take the prickhead cake in Seoul. I'd wipe them all out if given the opportunity.

The whole"they don't expect tips" is an excuse. If you order 4ths won of food, give them 7ths or 8ths.A convenient lifestyle comes with a price.

If you were the delivery dude,I think you'd appreciate a litle extra something.

It isn't as if they'd run away screaming from a few extra bucks.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Extra won!@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Surprised

Yeah it's an excuse, a legitimate one at that.

I'm sure my bosses in the states would get off on me standing and bowing when they enter the room, but they don't expect it so I don't do it.
