they've caused me much stress and frustration but also much joy and satisfaction; I've been angry at them and sometimes wondered how they'd ever become adults, but of course, they will and I'm so proud we've come such a long way this academic year.
I do wish them well in their individual futures; I want to do something special for them but because there's so many, gift-giving would be too expensive - any suggestions?
it could be a comical presentation in our last class (I have 2 classes of 6th graders btw);
it could be a print out of something (but what?)
or something I haven't thought of - ?
suggestions please!
thanks! |

I would go with cake...and some games, maybe dress up as a clown or hire one. |

I was asked to give a speech when I left my previous public school. Honestly getting up in front of everyone(school staff etc.)and saying what you have alreadyy said in this thread might be a good idea. Don't underestimate the value of public praise. Ask a co-teacher to act as translator(for the staffs benifit as well as the children), provide a script to her ahead of time, and make it during the year closing ceremony.
It seemed to work well for me. |
