there have been some threads on big and tall stuff but I can't recall them or where exactly offhand. Try using the search feature as crappy as it may be.

I think Itaewon or getting stuff shipped are about your only options.

I'm not overweight by most standards, but I like wearing tops in XL size for looseness, and I pretty much knew going in that you don't really want to be looking for such sizes in Korea, so I brought my own stuff.

On the other hand.. there are plenty of overweight Koreans around me in my town, mostly women but certainly some men and they're overweight by American standards, so clearly they must be buying their clothes somewhere!

i think you should also ask yourself if you REALLY want to buy any clothes here unless it's an emergency. From the little I've seen they're bound to be very expensive, very cheap/crappy looking or both.

and.... this really MUST be asked.

have you SEEN what passes for "male fashion" around here?

depends on how overweight.
Regular korean stores I think carry up to a 34" in pants. I take a 38. I just went to Columbia in Itaewon (my first time to itaewon). Got a pair for 41,000W

Shirts I'm a 105 depending on the brand, a 110 to be safe. You can find those some places (that is an XL in most places in Canada, apparently I'm an XXL if I shop at aeropostale, so if you've worn their stuff you can compare)

Those shirts were acquired at a home ever. Generally you won't find above 105 in most stores.

So if you're above a 34" pant and a 105 shirt than you're pretty much relegated to itaewon area as far as I've been told.

I have an idea.

my boss at school is a big guy... Korean..
and wears 38 pants. No way does he shop in Itaewon. (though who knows)
I will ask him where he buys his pants and get back to you.

I knew they must be buying them somewhere but I have no idea where. None of my friends are bigger so they have no idea where these guys get them. I'd like to know because I'd really prefer not going back to itaewon.

I love the two super gay looking models they chose for the Style Big web-site.

Most of the styles on that page are pretty hideous, but there is some decent stuff if you were desperate or didn't want to ship from home.

Songtan by the Army base (Osan?) is good aswell.

A bit cheaper than intawon. but depending on where you are a much bigger pain to get to. Its between Cheonan and Seoul.

My people keep telling me to go near an Army base. I am 6'4 300 lbs and I wear about a 42 in the waist. XXL shirst are tough for me because I have a 54 inch chest so I need a XXL Tall. I have trouble finding stuff back home so I don't think I am going to find it here. I am sure though there will be larger stuff around the bases.
