I came to Korea to look for a job.

I am in communication with ParkEnglish now, and I would like to know if anyone has gone through them.

How was your experience?

How is the job you got through them?

What is their reputation?

I also have heard of Footprints but they are located in Canada.

Anything, any information you have would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Janey,

q1:
My experience with Parkenglish has been very pleasant. They are very responsive and helpful. They speak fluent English and actually use proper grammar when they email you. haha.

q2:
because they are a recruiting agency, I don't think they really get to pick and choose who they are going to recruit for. It would be better if define your criteria and do some research on the schools. Dave's ESL Cafe is a good place to start your research. I think if you do a search you could find a black list of unreliable schools. idk, worth a try. But the school they found me is good so far.

q3:
I really don't know their reputation. I really haven't found any information on them on this forum or on the internet. However, out of all the agency I worked with they are the most responsive informal. If I had any questions, I would email them and almost immediately, i would get a response.

My experience, ParkEnglish has been really good to me out all the other recruiting agency I have worked with.

I guess my advice is whatever agency you decided to work with, really do some research on the offering schools. I think everyone will agree on that.

If you have any question, feel free to pm me.

WIP

This almost reads like a well orchestrated advertisement plan. It's as though the two posters are one. Or, at least one of the posters has some close ties.

I called the agency once to just get a feel on how they worked. I noticed they had a decent online presence -- so kudos to them on knowing how to market online.

However, the lady I contacted basically refused to speak to me and continued to tell me to apply online. She didn't really want to have anything to do with me over the phone which sort of turned me off & surprised me given their presence online.

Like most recruiters, they are motivated by the financial incentives. However, I've found Footprints to be a bit more professional despite the complications of balancing all the interests in the business. We've used them as well to place numerous instructors in Busan and have found every candidate very qualified and strong.

At the same time, I've only had the one interaction with Park English & it could of been simply one person having a bad day. Hard to say...

I would only bother contacting:

ACTION KOREA
http://actionrecruitment.cyoz.com/

ESL PLANET
www.esl-planet.com/

KORVIA
www.korvia.com/

Problem solved!

Esl Planet are good, though even they were happy to offer me some dodgy contracts (no pension/health insurance).

Park English set me up with an interview, but the employer in question didn't call. Didn't hear anything from Park English for two weeks afterwards...no apology or anything.

They then sent me a "Hey, are you still looking for a job" email to which I didn't reply...I'd found employment directly.

Park English helped my boyfriend and I to get a really good job a couple of years ago. They didn't mess around and worked quickly to get us the job.
