I'm going to be in Busan for a couple of days and I'm wondering which bookstores have the best selection of English books. Names and locations would be great.

Thanks a lot

There are three good ones that I used to use when I lived there.

Kyobo is a good store and has a good selection of classic reads, travel guides, and an isle of just ESL books etc....

There is one called Dong..... book store. Go to the second floor, limited selection but still worth a look.

These are located in Seomyeon. Go out of exit 5 and walk towards the road you see. Walk down that road and cross over so that your on the left side. There are subway stairs to do this. The Dong store will be about 2 blocks down and Kyobo about another 4.

My favorite is Young Kwang Book Store. As soon as you walk in, go down the stairs and follow the sign that says Foreign Books. The room is chuck full of everything from novels, college books, classics, travel, science etc.....

To get there, go out of exit 9, walk down the road with the people selling cheap Korean food in stands, it kind of looks like a nice road with trees and its kind of on a corner. Anyways, on the cusp on the corner there is the bookstore. Big sign and a big store. If you get lost just ask someone.

Hope this helps.

Jesse.
