Do these sites seem riddled with viruses or spyware? I'm not talking about the minor ones, I'm talking about major sites like Naver and Daum. I don't go to them, but my girlfriend does, and afterwards, I sometimes have spybot picking up things trying to change my registry so I have to hunt down whatever is doing that. Anybody else run into this? You would think major sites wouldn't have such things. |

yes, I seem to have a lot of things trying to attach themselves - even though I never go to those places you mentioned,
I religiously run spybot and antivirus programs all the time ...
especially the last few days, I have noticed things are a lot slower and something is spying on my connection - even on this site....
I definitely think stuff is being watched, but run the spyware stuff constantly and before shutting down |

I agree. My wife was trying to log onto a school district website and I got one of those free antivirus programs installed. I took me about a half - hour to delete it and clean my registry. Of course the program did not have an uninstall option so i had to manually find it and delete it. My mistake was letting her use my computer. I don't run an antivirus program because it slows my computer down. I only use known sites and never porn. Yes, I know it's like having sex without a condom. |

For me I have had many problems whenever I check out movies on Lotte Cinema's website. ALWAYS get things trying to give me viruses. Naver and Daum are also flagged by my computer as being dangerous sites to go to. And I have refused to allow my wife to install any of the Korean software shit that SOOOOOOO many Korean sites demand just to be able to navigate them which has saved our new laptop from being taken over like our old desktop was (so far!!!! Knock on wood!!!). |

I just find the aesthetics to be mind-blowingly awful. Go to any Korean shopping site, and prepare for 86 mini strobing .gifs, with a dollop of 4-5 flash pop-ups.
It's 2008 Korea, PLEASE steal Amazon or oldnavy.com, or landsend.com's look, and get rid of that mid-90's porn-site feel.
(I'm looking at you, gmarket and danawa) |
