The white gasket/seal has worn out on my stovetop espresso maker, and need to find either a gasket, or a piece of rubber I can make into one. Anyone know where they sell either?

If it's a Bialatti coffee maker then you can buy the rubber seals in some department stores that sell Bialetti. Like Hyundai dept. store.

But they rip you off. Stupid price for 3 little rubber seals. I went to Italy last year and picked up two packs so I'll have replacements for years to come. They were about one fifth the price in Italy.

Shocking prices on those websites......the basic Bialetti Moka 6-cup should be 40,000. Not 52,000.

The coffee bean prices are ridiculous......I'll stick to Costco Starbucks for 13,000 per kg.......

But it is nice to know that real coffee beans and equipment is easily available in Korea nowadays.......no excuse for choking on those nasty Maxim sachets anymore.

Anyone seen how many coffee machines are in the department stores now??!!! There's a major fashion for real coffee among middle-class Koreans at the moment. Where there used to be one or two Delonghi machines, now there are about 15 different machines from many famous brands. Crazy prices though. One domestic espresso maker I saw was 6,000,000 won. Shocked
