I've downloaded Charlie Brown's Christmas special, a Garfield Christmas and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas - not easy to find torrents - and none of them are that long time wise since they were made for tv.
all good choices I think ! |

there is a full length version of Frosty the Snowman, the old cartoon one, on google videos. I showed it last week to some 1st grade middle schoolers, they seemed to enjoy it. |

Seriously? What age group do you teach....aren't you worried about the scenes where they're filming a porno? |

Does anyone know how you can add Korean subtitles to movies? I know there's a website, but haven't figured out how to use it. My 1st and 2nd grade have test this week and next Monday, after that I'm pretty sure all attempts to teach will be futile and so need to get some movies downloaded for them to watch. |

My level 1 middle school boys enjoyed "The Santa Clause" with Tim Allen.
Level 2's liked National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. There are a couple of seductive scenes, but not too bad. |

The Korean DVD version of the movie has censored out these scenes. We borrowed the movie from a co-teacher and my friend who had seen it before noticed they were gone. |

Wouldn't it make more sense to use English subtitles so they can practice their reading and listening at the same time?
I plan to do this with my high school students. Any movie recommendations for high schoolers? Nothing too kiddy. I was thinking maybe Elf or Home Alone. But I'm sure many of them have seen Home Alone already.
How about Christmas Story for a more traditional feel on X-mas? Is it too old school? |

if i were going to do that i wouldn't pick a movie, i'd just choose a short tv show. this is just something fun and relaxing for my 3rd graders before they go to high school, and it needs to hold their attention (hence the korean subtitles)
christmas story sounds good though, i'm going to look for that! |
