How about Christmas Story for a more traditional feel on X-mas? Is it too old school? |
I think that would have to be predicated on the assumption that our students actually understand the English words they are sounding out when they are 'reading'. My high level classes could probably get by with the English subtitles...but the rest....well, I imagine myself watching a Korean film with Korean subtitles - it'd soon get old. |

I reckon they understand most of the words.
How do I get Korean subtitles on a movie? Can I download a torrent with K-titles? |

Yeah, Korean subtitles. I got it last year. My co-teacher helped me order the DVD online. |

| Too much words for elementary kids. You can download the subtitles from http://gom.gomtv.com/jmdb/chart.html. Just type your movie in there. |

My High schoolers get to watch Bad Santa.................haha yea right that would be an instant firing the next day lol!!!
I was going to show them Love Actually, but I really like that movie and being forced to watch it for an entire week straight would ruin it for me, so instead I downloaded a bunch of simpsons christmas episodes. |

Sorry, I'm probably being dense, but how do you get the subtitles to play on your movie. Does it only work with some programs; do you have to play the film from a DVD or can you play it from a file on your computer? Cheers. |

| The GOMplayer has an option where you search for subtitles you already downloaded and then it syncs it to the movie. For real movies you toggle the option in the player menu. |

That link just takes me to some GOM error page in Hangul. Can I just download the GOM player and search for subtitles with that? |
