Two options:
1:
For 10 million key money, the rent would be 1 million/month.
2:
Current Key Money: 30 mil.
Current Rent: 780,000/month
These may be flexible depending on an increase of one or the other.
Location: 7 min. walk to Sinchon Station, 7 min. walk to Hongdae station.
Super quiet and lovely street full of trees and single family homes as well! Very near the large church in Sinchon near the main street.
The apartment:
-2 bedrooms
-1 bath (excellent water pressure)
-large kitchen
-separate laundry room
-covered patio
-BALCONY with fabulous views! Great for BBQing.
-massive windows in kitchen, excellent light everywhere except second bedroom
-REAL wood planks on the floor
-newish building
-VERY cheap utilities
-Quiet building, never hear the neighbors
-Comes with: large refridgerator, two burner gas range, aircon, BBQ, more!
-Check out my other thread for our household items - if you move in you wouldn't have to move them!

Not for what you get; this is what you pay for a truly great apartment in downtown Seoul, which of course most teachers don't wish to pay for.
Plus, it's not bad for two people. |

Monthly rent is good, although i'd have to see the place...
BUT WOW! 30M key money? Who has $20K cash just sitting around ready to dump on a place? Dang. |

Not us, but luckily my university does. We are walking distance from Ewha, Hongdae, Sogang, and Yonsei, all (or most?) of which will provide at least that.
It's my understanding that with less key money, the rent would go up, though I have no idea by how much. |

The reason why I included monthly rent is that usually the 2 go together. If you pay a high rent, then your key money is low (or vice versa). Both seem high relative to other offers. One of them needs to go down. |

Ha! Well then someone will "need" to talk to the landlord.
I'm so sorry for the delay in photos from those seriously interested; I cannot seem to track down the ones I took. I will take new ones tomorrow. If anyone wants to come by and see the place, let me know, I'll be happy to show it anytime. Also, you can get a bit of an idea by looking at my other thread:

For those who have expressed sincere and useful interest, I will talk to to the realtor this week about the rent for lower key money and post it ASAP.
Thanks and have a great weekend! |
