We are a couple applying for Jeonnam. We were told that couple's housing does not exist in Jeonnam (even for married couples)--and that the best they could do is give us a "larger" studio and an addition 400k won housing allowance.
That is really unacceptable for us--can we negotiate this? Would they be willing to accomodate us? If we demand it in the contract could they still go against it? Or will they likely give in to our request if we are persistant.
Anyone negotiate for better housing before? |

You could come to Korea a little bit early (maybe a week or two in advance) and find your own housing. Then then will give you the housing money in an allowance each month. But keep in mind you will have to pay the key money this way I think. |

Ask for two apartments, then. You might be surprised how quickly some school district figures out that he can pocket a bit extra if he finds a larger place that's still cheaper than two studios. |
