Anyone been to the Ninth Gate restaurant at the westin chosun in seoul?
How was it? Good grub? |

Yes.
Good. And you pay for it.
This time of year, it's best to make reservations if you're going for dinner, or get there well before noon if you're going for lunch.
(This advice based on a few years ago; the stampede may have thinned out of late.) |

Personally, I'd feel more comfortable in a suit & tie there. And they'll be expecting it. Sometimes you'll see hotel guests coming down without suits, but you know... million-won sweaters, 100k-won pairs of socks, Rolexes...
Nine times out of ten I never get any further than the bar, but the dinner guests passing by are generally decked out. Basically anywhere you go in the Chosun is expense-account land. O'Kims is less formal attire & atmosphere, but their prices are just as gougey as Ninth Gate's. |

Sounds like an over priced place you go to make a materialistic statement that you're affluent, rich, and important. |

im not a big hotel eater...ive only been to the hyatt and it didnt seem too dressy.. |
