Samsung are known to have the "better" panel. But, it's only a 22'er and 1000/1, 5ms are average and decent specs....so i imagine even LG couldn't f@ck up that bad. Not bad especially since it passes TV. fair price, imho. |

No, it's not true HDTV, but it will give you the lower HD of 720P with wide black bars on the top and bottom when you play a movie on it which will end being a smaller movie than you'd expect out of a 22 incher. Plus, you have to pay extra for cables. I've been looking for a monitor myself this week. Here's a nice 22" HD monitor for 268,000 which appears to include cables. (the video in the ad is so funny) http://global.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=153714232
Here's a nice 24" HD monitor for 343,000 that includes the various types of cables (I think) that can serve as a monitor, HDTV set, blue ray disk player, and high end HD gaming system such as PS3. I'm fixen to buy this. http://global.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=153419390 |

Why don't you think it comes with cables? To me, it looks like it comes with cables--and a remote, in case you want to use it as a TV.
Which leads to my next question. I actually really like the the 22 inch monitor you posted, (the full HDTV is cool) but......it does not seem to have a connection for regular local cable. Is that the case? Is HDTV something that I would have to subscribe separately for? And is it not possible with this monitor to just plug in the cable that I already have in my apt. and watch TV using that? |

Good questions. Your monitor ad shows a drop down menu offering optional cables for sale. That 22 incher I showed you will work, but you'd have to use a cable or satellite box running a component RCA cable between the 2 if there's no coaxual screw on cable plug on the monitor as the ad advertises that it's for satellite TV, video game systems, and computer monitor, but doesn't give a complete image of the plug ins on back. It might need a tuner or a digital cable/satellite box like my sister has to get TV reception, because you would have to have a box/tuner to get HDTV reception in the 1st place unless playing blue ray disk or downloaded HDTV quality torrent on a PC. Her HDTV lacks the ability to get TV reception on it's own due to no coaxual cable screw on like the box/tuner has so her digital satellite box acts as a tuner for her Chinese made HDTV wall monitor.
This nice big 32 incher HDTV monitor for 469,000 has it for sure which means it's equipped to be a TV set on its' own with a built in tuner. I was going to get it, but it's just too large for my need.
