Hey,

Having a phone interview with this school in Gireum next week.

They have a legit Koren website, but wanted to know more about them from more reliable people than recruiters.

Anyone ever heard of them?

Thanks

Actually I've interviewed with them before. It was around the time when I got back to korea and that school was just opening up.

They didn't have any idea what they were doing at the time (this was about a year ago). I remember the housing they tried to provide was a really cheap room in a goshiwon. it was horrible and thats when I backed out of working there. I'm glad I didn't work there though, because actually from what I recall they only teach mainly kindergarten which can be annoying, but they also requested that I teach the owner, and some other korean ajummas during my scheduled break time.

The only reason I considered that job at the time is because I just got back into korea and was pretty desperate to start working right away, and also the working hours seemed really low.

Thanks for that.

So far, i have only been set up with an interview with the Director. It is only working 4 days a week, which is the big draw for me.

I will let you know what happens after the interview, and I will be certain to ask about extra duties/ housing/current teachers detaisl etc.

Thanks,

Yeah no problem.
I'm assuming it can't be that bad as it was when I interviewed with them, they had no experience dealing with a foreign teacher before, at that time. I'm guessing since it was about a year ago, that they must have gotten better at knowing what to do.
If you can deal with teaching kindergarten classes all the time it might not be that bad for you. I remember that Fridays were off as well, i think due to activity day or something.
