I hear there are some folks who play board games who frequent the forums here, so I wanted to let you know about some upcoming events I'm hosting.

The first is Saturday, December 13th, at my house. We have plenty of room, most certainly plenty of board games (900+). Getting here is pretty simple - I live very close to the Nokyang subway stop (on Line # 1), and can pick folks up there. For lunch/supper, we can get food from the nearby American military base. Times are flexible, we'll start gaming in the morning, and likely go to later in the evening - come and go when you please.

The second is the following Saturday, at Camp Casey. We go on post there and run an event with the military guys. There is a limited amount of folks we can sign in, but let me know if you want to come - so I can reserve a slot for you.

Either way, we'd love to have you come join us. Even if you've not played many board games other than Monopoly or Risk, we encourage you to come out - we're a friendly group of folk, and will gladly teach you some of the greatest games ever designed!

For more info, feel free to email me at [email protected]; or give me a call at 011-764-6136.

Shocked Shocked Shocked

Do you live at a bar, school or library?

I'd be super surprised by 90+. But 900????????????

I'm guessing you have the Monopoly Man's head on a plaque and a gold certificate from the Parker Brothers.

Ah, a large collection isn't that big of a deal. Think about how many CDs or DVDs or books some people have?

You can see my collection in the background of these videos.

Interesting. What games are you into these days? Do you have anyone into diplomacy?

Haven't played Diplomacy for a while, although I used to own it.

Here's a list of what I have:

I've never played these types of games, though I'm a long time fan of pc/rpg games. I've recently been listeing to the Penny Arcade podcasts though of their tabletop rpg games and it does sound like fun. Seems like it really relies on having a good group of guys with good chemistry though, it's all about having fun.
