Any Hellenes in this country besides me? I'm feeling extra homesick and want to break this funk.

Where are you at, and what's your story?

Ela patrioti,

I'm in Chuncheon, been here for 5 years(!!) already. Sick of being in the States, can't go back to patrida 'cuz I'm avoiding the army 'till 35. Can't really complain, like it more than dislike it.

How 'bout you?

There are actually MANY Greeks here, all at the shipyards of Ulsan/Koje/ Mokpo. Also, the Greek church in Aehyeon in Seoul is a good meeting ground. I see them on road trips to the south, or in Seoul. The owners of Santorini restaurant in Itaewon are another Greek/Korean couple. Great folks, though they're a bit older.

If you want more infos, PM me.

Ta leme filaraki....

I would kill for a proper Greek gyro with tzaziki sauce and a huge greek salad with loads of feta. Damn, now I'm just torturing myself.

Tzazki sauce isn't hard to make big guy. My wife makes it once a week.

Tell you what made me cry last week. I was on Youtube and I came across this video of Maria Farantouri and Mikis Theodorakis - black and white. Hearing that song just blew me away. I haven't heard it since I was ten years old living back in the patrida mou.

This one made me cry too. I cried because I didn't marry a girl that looked like these hotties:
