What I want to believe:
Dave wants all that personal registration information so he can control that quality of the forum members, keep out spammers, keep a tally, etc.
What I can't help but believe:
The Korean government keeps an eye on all the of the transmissions in the most thriving online forum for foreigners in the country. |

This again?
What do you plan on posting here? Nobody cares if you hate soju and bibimbap or wanna bone Lee Hyori? (Well Koreans DO care, but you won't get locked in a gulag for it. Not yet anyway)
The personal info thing is an empty measure. Did you get a call or postcard from Dave? Don't you think it could be easy to not be entirely honest in your email? If porno spammers have the will they will find a way. |

Next we'll hear of posters being carted off by ex-KGB agents never to be heard from again.
Dave asks for this information for both his protection and for the posters, why are you looking for a conspiracy where there is none ... are you Oliver Stone or something? |

Man, grow up. If you are like 90% of people who use the internet, you do not provide real information when you sign up to a freaking message-e board. |

Who deleted the plagiarist thread?
I don't think any of the mods work for the Government. |

Does anyone ever use their real name, etc when they open an online account? (well not including Koreans)..
Its not like they ask us for our passport numbers, etc..
Whenever I open an online account my name is
The Sock and my country I live in is Antartica.... |

Hmm....I guess I'm not the paranoid one since it seems I'm one of the few that actually use my real name to register online. |
