If you look on the Korean job board, there are jobs at an English village in Gangwon which pays up to 3 million won a month!

The main negative is there are ony 8 days paid vacation.

Would you do this job?

Working in an English village would destroy my soul!

That ad also doesn't mention housing.

Subtract 300-400K from the salaries and it isn't much better than other public school gigs..

Rent Free Fully-furnished Brand New 2-Bedroom Flat w/ Seaside View 10mins. Commute to the EV. The apartments are really quite nice.

Thing about english villages is whether you're comfortable with seeing a new batch of kids every week & running through the same routine. Some do okay with that, others prefer a more ongoing commitment with the same students.

As far as english villages go, GELC is a choice facility with some pleasant & sincere teachers.

Thanks everybody. I've thought about every location at some point.

A new GEPIK school will do me for next year though. Laughing
