I drop my AMD X2 CPU couple weeks ago and bent some of the pins and haven't been able to bend all the pins back in line. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions if its fixable or not? I have since bought another CPU but would be nice to get this one fixed somehow.

how bent are the pins?

id try with a small pair of needle nose pliers and be VERY gentle. even if you can get them kinda straight you might be able to fit them into the mobo and that might finish off the straightening for you.....

I tired with a pair of tweezers but wasn't able to get anywhere. Tired it for about an hour after the incident. I maybe got 10-15 bent pins on one corner of the cpu.

Try bending them individually by sticking them into the tip of a mechanical pencil.

Yeah thanks for the suggestion and I tried them but I think there too far gone. Yeah if anyone wants it for cheap you can have it as I have no use for it now and tired of messing with it. Its an AMD Athlon X2 5000(2600) cpu

+1. Best method of attempting to straighten bent pins.

I did the same thing and I used a sewing needle and bent them back up. I had to keep turning the chip around to make the bent pins line up x and y wise. When its as close as you can eyeball it to be, try putting it into the socket. Just give it a little pressure, if it doesn't go in take it off and try eyeballing the pins again. Eventually with just a bit of pressure mine went back in after a few attempts. I bent a good 20 or so pins, it just takes patience.
