Hey all,

I've tried searching for this information and I can't seem to find it, so I thought I'd try here.
A friend of mine bought a convection oven today from Osan (she lives off base, but works on base). Seeing as the oven is North American made and has North American power settings (voltage, amps, etc) would it be safe for her to use it on through a Korean power source (using an adapter to modify the actual plug)? Or would she need to buy a power converter to use something this large?
Just for information, the settings are:

60 HZ
120 VAC
1200 W

Thanks to any and all who can answer this for me (and my friend)

Plugging a US hairdryer or something similar into a Korean plug is a bad idea....a convection oven? Better get fire insurance first.

You can pick one up at E-mart. Don't plug it in. Best case, you destroy the oven. Worst case... WW3. Probable case, you destroy the oven and burn the counter.

I guess best case would be that it works fine. I'm not really good with these cases.
