blue eyed Korean girl Cool

blue eyed Korean girl
get us away
away to a place
where it's okay

to a place where
there's no drug crazed English teachers
that sleep in late
and dream of strange creatures

they get high all the time
and are late for class
they get high all the time
and get-by on kissin' ass

blue eyed Korean girl
get us away
away to a place
where it's okay

a place where
we're free from mods
and their super-powers
they're tough ass broads

how do they sleep at night
dancing around their Christmas trees
while they're buck naked
chewin' on their pork and beans

get us away blue eyed Korean girl
i can't face them anymore
with my mind in a whirl
i'm the boy next door Cool

Dear Lake Baek Du San monster
please eat my students
or at least frighten them into silence
Long enough to teach
teach them something worthwhile
how not to get eaten

Can I copy and paste one of my favorite lyrics here: Razz

If you were a sailboat

If you're a cowboy I would trail you,
If you're a piece of wood I'd nail you to the floor.
If you're a sailboat I would sail you to the shore.

If you're a river I would swim you,
If you're a house I would live in you all my days.
If you're a preacher I'd begin to change my ways.

Sometimes I believe in fate,
But the chances we create,
Always seem to ring more true.
You took a chance on loving me,
I took a chance on loving you.

If I was in jail I know you'd spring me
If I was a telephone you'd ring me all day long
If was in pain I know you'd sing me soothing songs.

If I was hungry you would feed me
If I was in darkness you would lead me to the light
If I was a book I know you'd read me every night

It's all good. I had guidelines, but I don't follow them myself.

Ode to Chu Eo Du Bu

Poor little chu eos
fleeing from the heat
you dive into the du bu
and make for us a treat
since the water is a boilin
your guts'll soon be roilin
then the chu eo du bu we will eat

(An explanation in case no one understands: chu eos are loaches, or mudfish. One fairly common way of cooking them is to put them in water with blocks of tofu (du bu) and start it boiling. The fish will actually dig into the tofu to escape the heat, then get cooked anyway.)

I've never heard of that dish, is it quite common? What is the Korean spelling?

Bean curd appeared safe haven
To their delicious innards?
How savage, I'm aroused Twisted Evil

Another night alone to spend

Solitary is getting to the limit

Another empty love is it

Thirty is getting so rounded

I throw my tears to the sky

Crystal will fly and fly

I throw my soul to the darkest side

Autumn wind is roaming, hopelessly behind.

-------------------------------------------------------------

I think most 추어 places serve it. The more common form is 추어탕: chu eo soup, which just involves blending already dead ones into a stew. It's really good.

I'm not sure what they call the tofu dish exactly. My co-workers thought it was cruel and didn't order it.

after a groggy rise from my bed
and a cup of Home Plus green tea,
Nate and I rode our Samchuly bikes
through Ansan for a look at the town.
We glided effortlessly along the street,
discovering new eateries and apartment
complexes, but it was stumbling upon
Ansan Lake Park when my heart bloomed.

There is a hush and silence in the anticipation
as we tense as one and revel in the sensation
of wanting, needing, knowing
all of it overarcing and overflowing
that the climax is coming and barely contained
breathe catches, muscles strain,
we push our bodies together, an urgent need
a rush of smells and tells of Asian screed
and then its over, and we stand triumphant
within our vessel from heaven's sent:

yes, the daily rush to step foot first on the elevator
has no winners, only a sardine can of losers.

Those last two aint bad.

Lemme see if i got something off the cuff

Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, China, Vietnam-
Have your shores showed me whatever I am?
You've roped me in with your allures,
your headaches, joys, your lack of cures
for a man lost on foreign ground
who seeks only the friendly sound
of a friendly voice full of compassion,
not taken in by passing inanity and fashion,
but with cheer, and love, and endures.

Pitter, patter, pound, and clatter
Writin', readin', seethin' and scribble
Twelve o'clock ring and four hours more in
Smoke, smoking, wee hours a gradin'
How I wish for green sunny skies and warm sandy beaches
A margarita sunrise, a martini sunset
A late afternoon siesta, warmed by sun-licked wicker recliners
A buzz mildly ebbing and tides turned with little more sipping

Sorry, too forced, but wanted to keep thread alive

I got carried away with the (lack of) rhyme scheme:

Wed-nes aft, the weather fair
the classes taught without a care
the tests been done, grades give a scare
the students all pull out their hair
then off they go in ones and pairs
to study more, it isn't fair
hagwons, hakbangs, lions' lairs
of competition, not a prayer
to get a job, we're unaware
(we're also filled up with hot air)
to succeed where most do not dare
Why don't you sit down on your chair?
take it easy, don't prepare
indulge a little love affair
with someone hot and debonair
and most of all, just do not care
too much
