I am sticking the horror show out for another 2 months so I don't have to pay back my airfare, I will be at the 6 month mark then.
I am looking at the contract online and it doesn't say anything about the airfare being waived after the completion of 6 months?! Does anyone know what the deal is?
This is from their website and is a sample from 2007:
Article 6 (Resignation) ① Employee shall perform the duties set forth under Article 3 hereof during the Term of Employment set forth under Article 5 hereof.
② However, if Employee should desire to resign from the English Program In Korea and thereby terminate this Contract, he/she must give Employer a thirty (30) day prior written notice of resignation stating a date of and a reason for resignation.
③ In the case of Employee's resignation, the airfare for the return flight shall be borne by Employee, and his/her visa shall be cancelled. |

Screw giving notice. If you're not gonna stick around in Korea, do a runner after you get paid. |

This means the cost of your flight OUT of Korea. They're not going to pay for it, obviously. After 6 months it means you don't have to give them money back for your flight TO Korea. |
