|
|
Hello everyone,
I'm contemplating getting a new Bible, and saw that NIV Study Bible brought out a new edition in 2008 . . . I figure that if I want to get a new Bible, it's best to get something updated. (Also, I'm interested in taking a look at an "Evidence Bible" with commentary by Ray Comfort).
I'm just wondering if anyone knows if there's any store in Seoul that'd have a wide (and current) selection of Bibles. The Christian Bookstore I live near has books in English, but they're mostly 15 years old or older. |

You mean it's come to changing the bible? Damn.
Can I make my own version, too? I wish I read Korean well enough to see what kind of funny isht was in their translation... |

I figured that someone would make a remark like that.
No, the Bible hasn't changed . .. it's still NIV. However, the new edition has changed 25% of the notes in the Bible . .. if I just wanted a Bible without imbedded notes, I could get one extremely easily. |

Ask The Lord and He will provide.
Alternatively post your question on an ESL messageboard generaly populated by people who are educated enough to have at least a degree.
Let me know how this works out for you. |

I am pretty sure the hare Krishna guy on here will get you one. The stories will just be a slight bit different and there will be lots of dancing and girls chasing the Krishna guy.
I also think that the 2007 and the 1957 will have the same stories. You can always ask that Joel fellow in the states to send you one for 10000 bucks. He needs to pay for his football stadium. |

According to my Korean co-pastor, your best bet is "Yodan Christian Bookstore", located across the street from the Express Bus Terminal.
You may also try Torch Seminary's bookstore in Yangjae., on the other side of street from Yangjae Station.
I'd give you more exact directions, but I'm not too good at giving directions in Korea.
Hope you're able to find what you're looking for! |
