Does anyone know legally how much notice i need to give before leaving?
I'm in a dispute with my boss, my contract says 3 months (which i think is excessive) but i spoke to the labor board and they said they THINK it is 30 days

So you signed a contract saying you'd give 3 months notice, but now you want to know how much notice you need to give? HMMMM, let's think about this....I'd say 3 months!
You signed the contract, you deal with it. If you think it's too much, too dang bad, you agreed to it. Man up and stick to you agreement. |

...b-b-but kprrok, that would require personal responsibility! We can't have that! Next thing you know, people will start doing their civic duty and carrying their own social burdens, and then we have advances in society, and an overall sense of well-being would pervade the world!
I'd much rather kvetch about stuff! |

Wow three months. I have seen two months but three months -WOW. I think by law it is 30 days or one month. But I do not know if a contract is superseded by a contract. The three months could the school wanting to cover it ass for three mnths while they look for a teacher.
If you want the letter of release you will have to go through what the school wants.
Good Luck |
