So I did a search and couldn't find anything...if anyone's already covered this just show me the url...

My question is, what return airfare must hagwon bosses legally provide the foreign teacher upon completion of their contract?

I'm finishing my contract and leaving my hagwon next month and I know my boss too well, so I wanted some answers to head this one off at the pass.

Instead of flying home to the states I'm going for a month's TEFL training in Nepal and then coming back to Korea to work at a public school. I just know he's gonna say it's his responsibility to pay a one way ticket there (providing, of course, that that's cheaper than a one-way back home).

Anyone know what he's required by law to provide?

Ummmmmm, this is a contract issue. Read your contract.

Technically, he is required to give you a return ticket to the original place that you came from. If you require somehting else, he is not responsible for that. I would suggest that you are very kind and considerate, and just ask for the cash equivalent of the cheapest flight back to your home country and buy your own ticket.

It is a difficult situation

Good luck.
