That's a rather intrusive and exploitative question that you're so cavalierly asking. The best example we have of your writing is your post, and given that you're encouraging people to talk about deeply traumatic events in the same way you'd encourage someone to tell an off color joke, no woman in her right mind would think you'd treat the subject with any sensitivity.

Oh, your post time. Are you an angel?

Anyone else witness chicks getting beat whilst in the Korea?

One night, a few years ago, I was walking through the park when I heard a woman screaming bloody murder.

I ran to see her boyfriend above her pummeling the crap out of her. An old adjumma was ten feet away just watching.

I started yelling at the guy and he immediately took off running with his GF holding his hand all the way to the taxi....

unbelievable

You criticize women who defend victims of abuse and women who are victims of abuse. People who physically abuse women are scum, but take a step back and look at your position here: you seem content and even proud to be ignorant of all the systemic causes of patriarchy and abuse. If you are trying to do some good by letting the world know what goes on in this first world nation, thats a great sentiment, but for gods sake educate yourself first. It sounds more like you are trying to collect anecdotes to prove a suspicion abuse is actually the fault of the victim. Are you, perchance, cornfeds sock?

the 'chick' comments were a response to an earlier response to my original post.

It's sarcasm.

Anyway, I started the thread thinking I would get some good stories; but now I know I won't get anything here. That's okay with me. So, it's just a 'joke'.

I am not a misoginist (sp?). And, I don't care what anonymous internet posters think, so I can 'play' a misogynist.

Anyway, in the spirit of the thread:

A university student that I currently teach told me that when she was in high school (korean student, btw), she had a teacher who would punish the girls by slapping them, with his bare hand, between their thighs!!!!!!

I asked her how she felt about it and she said she felt weird when it happened but it was (IS) Korean culture, so she 'understands'.

That's a big WTF, in my book.

any chicks want to comment? Anyone want to take the sock out from between their legs and give an account of some crime against women in korea? Any guys who aren't feminized by their dominatrix significant other want to take a moment and tell a story?

jesus.... sometimes I forget that when I post here, my audience is 21-25 year olds; and have just recently stop suckling from their moms' teet....

Wow, way to sexualize violence. So, collecting real life stories to jerk off to, are you? Its a bloody good thing you got called on your B.S. before you exploited anyone who thought you were trying to do some good. You dont believe yourself to be a misogynist? Maybe you arent but Im sure a lot of people who dont believe themselves to be racist just dont understand why off color jokes are wrong and affirmative action is necessary. Say, instead of posting voyeuristic garbage detailing traumatic events in peoples lives, why dont you sit back for an evening of introspective mental housecleaning?

Wow, you are a great poster with lots of insight into the female mind. Thank you for coming here. If I wasn't bleeding, I'd write you a nice letter.

NP,

my pleasure.

I also want to throw in a story about my ex boss. He used to gather all the female office staff in a small room, once a month and scream at them until they cried. Though it wasn't physical violence, it was abusive behavior.

And, it's a shame that they took it.

I feel bad for women in situations like that.

Interesting stories?

There must be some prostitutes or massage place near where you are....you can ask them about their stories and get some juicy info. (seriously)

I wouldn't bother with this site, these guys and gals are far too intelligent to give you anything but the finger. (you come off as insincere, mocking and arrogant/ignorant)

Yeah, my area has sooo many 'massage' joints. I am friends with a Chinese woman who works at on eof these places. She has some stories. jesus, it's terrible what she has to deal with on a daily basis from the korean 'johns'.

Anyway, I'm not so interested in getting any serious input from anyone in this thread.

I'm just going to mock and be arrogant to the 'far too intelligent' posters.

lol

Just remember not to misspell your name when you write the "fictitious" article.

P.S. - I'm working on a "fictitious" article too.

Last year I lived in this apt. where the whole family was screwed up. The husband would come home drunk and scream at her for hours. During the day I saw the woman leave her newborn baby near the window, just sitting there. This happened a few times. They suddenly moved out one day...
