I'm meeting someone in Bundang on Christmas Eve, and I'd like to go somewhere really elegant, preferably with champagne. I'm clueless about Bundang, living out in the sticks in Cheong-ju, but any advice about restaurtants or interesting places to go in Bundang would be appreciated. It's Christmas Eve, so money isn't an issue. |

I really like Jeongja but I don't know how it'll be during Christmas Eve. It's a nice area with a ton of little specialty restaurants and right off of the Tancheon river, which is good for a little walk, but cold this time of year. There's a nice wine bar near Toni & Guy that has a decent selection, tho' I've never looked for champagne.
There's an (I think) Italian restaurant very close to that looks very nice (but I've never eaten there) that has about a billion plants inside. Looked like a greenhouse every time I've passed it, so just look for the place that looks like something out of Little Shop of Horrors. |

Stay away from Jeongja and those cute little cafes that they have. I went to one once with my old girlfriend.
Nachos = 23,000
lemonade = 13,000 (maybe it was only 9,000. the beer might have been 13,000)
and the pasta dishes started out at about 44,000 a plate. Yeah, some of the restaurants in Jeongja.
There's a really fancy sushi buffet right near Seohyun Station. Er, what's it called? Maybe it starts with a "G." Like Grim____ Crap, I forgot. I'll have to get back to you. I'd check out one of the Indian joints, if you're into that. |

Check out a place in Jeongja dong called 'Savini' it used to be about a four star buffet style place. The last time I was there, they were undergoing some kind of remodeling. I don't know how it is now, but kind of classy, huge selection of wines, some champagnes and a Hilton style buffet, but now it might all be different after the changes. |
