Is it a good idea to go to Jeju-do in the last week of January. i'm just wondering what it will be like with the weather and hotel rates and stuff. Can you still go hiking at that time of year?

I also would like some information about this time of year in Jeju-do. Me and my friend want to take a bike trip there in late February. Is this possible?

I would expect cold dreary Winter, but not as cold as Seoul. Jeju is still very far North of the Tropic of Cancer which crosses Taiwan to give you an idea of how far South one needs to go to very possibly see pleasant weather and green plants while hiking. It definitely won't be high Jeju travel season like July and August are so you should be OK with getting a room.

You can find lots of deals (hotel, airfare, etc.) but remember that people in Jeju make close their shops during holidays or chose to take some time off as that is the really, really low-season.
