anyone know how common foodborne hepatitis is here?

as hardly anyone washes their hands after using the bathroom and infected people can be asymptomatic, it would seem that it would be pretty common, especially within the markets...

so anyone got any knowledge they can lay on me?

It's not expensive to get shots here. However, you need to get several shots to be inoculated which takes a few months. Three shots for Hepatitis a/b.

I highly recommend!

As you can see from the charts South Korea is a high risk area.
