I need a temporary cell phone for my parents that are coming to Korea this weekend.
How expensive is it to rent a phone at the airport and how much time does it take to do it?
What other options are there?
I am in need of a new cell phone myself, and was previously planning to just get a new one but leave the old one active and give it to them while they're here, but since the cell phone market looks like it's about to undergo some big changes in a few months I'm thinking to hold off a bit. |

Did this for my family last year...
Go to Itaewon's hooker hill (the bottom where the phone shops are). Buy a couple of cheap card phones (make sure the batteries work). They'll cost about 20,000 to 30,000 won. Put 10,000 won charge on them.
My parents hardly used any of the money on them. It was free for me to call them.
Sell them off when you're done. |
