I'm looking for an english-speaking optician in Seoul, somewhere pretty central, so I can go have an eye test and get new contacts. I know it's easy enough to get contacts with the language barrier but not so easy when to get an eye test.

How long ago was your last eye exam, and do you think your prescription has changed? If not, then just take along your current specs to any optician and they can find out your prescription using those. If you've noticed deterioration then there are a clutch of opticians in Itaewon along Itaewon-no that I am sure must speak adequate English, given their location.

You don't need an english speaker....getting contacts here is a breeze and cheap....they do a new eye test in like 7 minutes....they're accurate since the test had the same result as my optician back home...

Just walk into any eye glasses store and you'll be fine.

I don't know one in Seoul, but if you want to make a journey to Inha University (near Juan line 1), there is a really good speaking korean doctor.
