How and with whom can I get travel insurance for a friend coming from Kenya?
She has asked there in Kenya and for 90 days they want almost $400. So, where can I get travel insurance for her here, that of course can be used by her here.
I need to know soonest the web/phone for contact as ticket is booked for the 16th of Jan. And the Korean embassy wants to issure a visa.
Thanks, |

you can try here:
http://www.worldnomads.com/
I've used them before and heard/read many others who have also; however, don't know if country of origin makes any difference so just be forewarned is all.
good luck.
is your friend related to any of the masai people? I know someone there but haven't spoken to him in a few years. |

travel insurance has never seemed worth the money to me - but this is a great company for health insurance while travelling:

I made a $1500 claim with them and I have no complaints |

Thanks,
I booked the insurance from Nomad.
Why get the insurance? Because the Korean Embassy insists that she has this.
To get this visa, she has to provide
a statement of savings from her bank
a letter from her job
travel insurance
booking for a return ticket
medical/yellow fever vaccination
proof of relationship
I have had to provide
letter of guranty that if she does a crime I am responsilbe
letter with who I am, job, income, our relationship, support while she is here
bank statements
copy of passport and visa in passport
copy of my AI card
This to me is so much over kill. |
