I was denied my E2 visa over a traffic ticket. I was told by the company if I get it cleared off my background check I may be able to apply again. I was wondering if I find another company with an earlier start date, would I able apply for a visa again without any troubles? I would have a clean record at that time.

Visa runs, but not visa info.

Word on the street was that you'd only be denied by immigration for violent, sex-related or drug-related charges.

I think your recruiter is fucking with you. Call immigration yourself.

and that's why all the other posts on here are about our various trips ?? Rolling Eyes

hmm, I suppose as someone who has posted over 1000 times on here I would not know where to post a q about visas, huh? Rolling Eyes

the thing is if someone can't find their way around an internet forum, how do you expect to find your way around a very foreign country?? Rolling Eyes

lol, I have no idea how I am going to find my way around another question. I guess I will have to find out. I posted before on the main discussion about visa info and it was deleted. I was told it was because it was in the wrong forum.

Wow! I generally don't like to be a d**K, but it actually came across that you were being boastul about this comment:

Remember this; although often helpful, Dave's ESL cafe shouldn't be so important to you. What's next? Are you going to come on here and brag about how many girls you've hooked up with on WOW?

I assume this happened in the US.

How long will it take to clear? Some states require 3 years. Others 7 years.

I'm up for my interview soon...now this has me nervous. I don't have any tickets or anything, but what else could you be denied for other than have a criminal background, etc.????

You're not even here yet, and you're already paranoid. You should fit in well.

Has nothing to do with me being paranoid. It's a simple question and just needs a simple answer. If you don't have a simple answer, skip to the next question. It doesn't seem like a difficult thing to do.

I imagine you could be denied for being black. Or for being obese. Or for having an Asian appearance. Or if you've been here before and committed an immigration offense.

If any of these describe you, then you should start gnawing your fingernails with worry.
