http://www.style.com is the best place to start if you're looking for runway looks and things like that - has photos and articles about all the major designers around the world, as well as archives of just about every fashion show in the last 10 years.

googling 'fashion blog' is a good place to start to look for blogs and fashion journalism - link surf from there and I'm sure you'll be on your way.

Oooh thanks, that's flattering!

style.com is definitely a good place to start, along with:

www.vogue.com
www.elle.com

i buy a lot of fashion magazines just to look at pictures.

but my personal favorite is a fashion forum where all kinds of girls from all over the world meet and discuss fashion, streetstyle, trends, shoes, acceossories, personal style, and also post pictures of celebrity style so you can get some inspiration. there's all the info you need, and you can ask questions and post pictures. i love it, you should sign up:

http://www.thefashionspot.com/forums/

you might need an invite- PM me if they ask you for one Wink

Glad it helps!

And shopping in Korea (are you in Seoul) is great- most little boutiques and markets (Dongdaemun) carry fashionable items. And you can't go wrong with Zara for nicer, dressier pieces, and Uniqlo to get basics (black pants, jeans, white shirt, t-shirts, sweaters, etc).

Fashion is no fair. I have been looking through the sites you folks kindly posted, and I like a lot of the stuff I saw there. But take this new found love of pretty things to the mall with you someday- holy crap fashionable stuff is expensive!! It's an evil drug, too. I am currently justifying the 150,000 won I am going to spend on a backpack because I will love it dearly and treat it like my child. And wow, that's one nasty feeling you get when you get when you accidently walk into a store that's built for people who run in social circles you're too grubby to serve coffee to- and that's where they keep the prettiest things!!

DO NOT DO

IRON YOUR CLOTH ITEMS
WEAR BUTTONS
WEAR PANTS WITH CREASES FROM IRONING
SMELL NICE
DO NOT HAVE DULL SHOES
COMB UR HAIR

THAT IS ALL, YOU MAY NOW RETURN TO UR WALLET

Fashion is expensive..

and I also find runway fashion to be vastly different from high street fashion.

Things I see I like in a magazine rarely make it to high street, and high street alternatives are never as nice.

So I never follow fashion...

once again, my avatar is not myself, it's from lost in translation!

but- yes, high fashion is expensive. but being fashionable doesn't have to be. you can find the coolest pieces at h&m, Zara, Forever 21, Uniqlo. You just have to mix and match.

i don't mind spending a bit more on a great pair of leather boots or well-cut jeans. but i'll find cheaper tops or dresses at Zara and F21, and Korea is the best place for cheap accessories: earrings, bracelets, handbags.

Never under-estimate accessories- you can be dressed pretty bland (jeans, white shirt), but with the right accessories it can look fabulous.

Okay, I'm a fashion nerd.

Accessories, yes. Completely agree.

I buy mine from Accessorize - it's home stuff for me (UK) and they have stuff I really like.

Well, since it's not you in the avatar and you are so fashionable, why dont you show us a picture of yourself decked out in all the latest greatest so we can see what its all about?

I never claimed I was the trendiest girl around or something! I just love fashion, read tons of magazines and know random stuff. The OP just happened to mention me because I mostly post about fashion/shopping on this forum.

But no, sorry, I'm not posting pictures of myself all over Dave's Wink

Cool
