| A watch is a nice present. I've noticed quite a few Korean women obsessed with them and there's a wide price range available. My friend's Kwife has an absolutely ridiculous number of watches. |

I'm not Korean but I'm a girl- I'd like jewelry. A watch, earrings, a charm bracelet, a necklace....
Tiffany's is definitely the best place, but way overpriced in Korea. I like Agatha Paris (they sell it at Lotte) for cheaper items.
Or go to any Chanel, Dior, Lancome counter in a department store for a nice lip gloss or something. |

I don't know any woman well enough to have a "thoughtful" gift. The best gifts I've ever given were gift certificates.

unless she's got a serious hatred of scented products, nice bath stuff is a safe bet. The Body Shop is all over the place there, and they have reasonably priced giftsets. If you want to splash out, go with Lush |

Actually, she loves scented items.
She's obsessed with perfumes (I'm not buying her any though because she probably already has it), She wears a different one everyday.
Actually, she bought me a bath and body wash just a week ago. Should I be worried about getting a gift from the same place? What do you think? |

As wretched as it seems, the guy's got a point.
The tradition of bringing your girl random gifts like flowers seemed to popularize during a time when girls where actually DOING things for their guys (liking making dinner). Nowadays, dinner and other domestic chores are typically shared, since both parties probably work jobs. So wouldn't it just as much be the girl's responsibility to give gifts to the guy?
Not usually. Our traditions haven't caught up. Aarontendo is probably pointing out some princess girls just who sit there looking all pretty and expect the guy to fall all over himself surprising her with gifts and romantic gestures without ever reciprocating. Seems pretty one-sided. But, I guess there are always "10 FREE KISSES" coupons for the guy to look forward to.

Tiffany's is also way overpriced in the U.S as well. Having spent close to $30k there, I unfortunately know from personal experience. But they will clean your rings for free for life. I'd feel pretty nervous taking expensive jewelry to be cleaned out of my sight anywhere else after seeing those news programs on how jewelers swap out diamonds. |
