ok I've read everything from bathroom routines to drunken rages to how to attract the opposite sex to your lair on here - so it seems not a big leap to expect some of you might be willing to share your New Year's resolutions.

of course the usual

lose weight
exercise more
stop smoking
gain weight
smoke more dope
drink less
drink the same but let someone else pay for it
more sex
better sex
any sex (??) Wink

SO - what's it gonna be?? come' on cough it up - lots of improvements could be made -

sure I'll share to get started:

I will try and control my outloud raging fits of cursing when passed by empty taxis

I will try and not make a scene when I hear the words "that's only for Ks"

I will make an honest effort to engage a guy in meaningless conversation and not judge him for his lack of intellectual curiousity (I know I know this is really pushing my limits but one has to shoot for the stars, right?)

I will try and wear lipstick more often (it looks good on me and I should wear it but just never quite keep the habit going)

I promise not to bait the newbs on Dave's (but that's SO much fun!!)

next???

I have 3 main goals, not too uncommon I think.

1. Lose the remaining 25 kilos I need to get rid of.

2. Get a girlfriend

3. Save enough money to get my CELTA and travel through SE Asia.

1. Have better posture.
2. Be more conscious of what I eat. Quit eating so much delicious ramen and only drink coffee on the weekends.

1. to pick up some new hobbies here that don't cost so much (ie...not spend so frivolously)

2. I already made this resolution prior to coming back after vacation back home this year, but I want to continue to be more positive.

3. Marry my gf of almost 3 years eventually. Smile

My one and only resolution is as it has always been: make no New Years resolutions.

New Years is a time for slobby fault wallowing. I'll improve aspects of my life as I see fit.

1) Get published for the first time (for TESOL stuff).
2) Try to present for the first time (for TESOL stuff).
3) Finish my MA-Education-TESOL (almost guaranteed, but busy).
4) Retain the habit of going to the gym regularly.
5) Get around to studying at least a little Japanese this year (lower on the priority list, but equally important).

--

If I can keep that focus for 2009...and I intend to...it will be a good year.

Be able to kick over someone's head. Right now I'm so inflexible I can hardly kick over my other foot. Confused

Get back into running 5k at least 4 or 5 times a week to shed weight.

Do the pre-reading for the DELTA I'm planning/want to take in early 2010.

Work on my exit plan for Korea.

It will be a good year if I can stick to these three items.

I want to be cool. Like, as in nice to everybody, as much as possible. I think that lowers the stress level. I also want to power clean/front squat my body weight x1.5 and deadlift body weight x2.
