I will be going to Thailand for break and wanted to know if the bus system would run at the regular times on New Years Eve. I am planning to take a bus from Chiang Mai to Bangkok at this time.

They will run, but they will be full of people, same with the trains. You have to book as early as you can to make sure you can get a ticket/seat.

Are you leaving on that date?

Does anyone know if you are able to book bus tickets online? I know there is some VIP bus tour companies, but I haven't found any where you can book online.
