I guess from cornfed's prolonged silence we can conclude:
1) There is no goal post in virology that states that electron scanning microscope photos are not legitimate and accurate ways to image a virus. His claim (I believe) that x ray crystallography is the only legit method is without substance.
2) There are no virologists in the Perth group, despite his explicit claims there were.
3) There are no scientific papers that cast doubt on the genetic sequencing of the HIV (1 and 2) genome. There is zero evidence, other than hand waving claims of a conspiracy, that the openly published sequencing is not what researchers claim it to be.
You have two science degrees, huh?
Your claims are dismissed. Very sorry and try to do better in 2009. |

Back around 2000 or so, I had a roommate, pretty bright guy with no particular vested interest, who was absolutely convinced of the denialist theories. He was involved in the internet forums that promoted the Duesberg hypothesis, and used to outline its arguments for me around the living room.
At the time, it seemed like fairly credible stuff, but the things I've read since then make it seem less so. I've fallen out of touch with the guy, and I'm wondering if he still holds to those ideas. |

Absolutely every time I hear of homeopathy, I think the only thing you need to make money in this world is a complete lack of scruples. Or talent. Unfortunately I have scruples but no talent. |
