I suppose his thesis, for better or for worse, has become part of the intellectual air that we breathe these days. I never got around to leafing through his Clash Of Civilizations until last year some time. Can't say I found all of it entirely convincing. An alliance between Islam and Sinic civilization? Tell that to the Uighirs.
