So how did everyone enjoy their Christmas Buffet?

Where did you end up going how much did you pay and how would you rate it overall?

Below is a list of the places people were discussing going to from other thread....

Geckos
Wolfhound Irish Pub
Rocky Mountain Tavern
Intercontinental
Hyatt

U2 Haeundae in Busan

free buffet

A friend and I went there and bought a bunch of Christmas shots that we mixed with Swissmiss and marshmallows. Our mixed drinks were better than the catered buffet, but still it was nice.

I went to the International Cafe at the JW Marriott, accessible from Express Bus Terminal station.

It was awesome! Beef, turkey, crab legs, mussels, oysters, thick pieces of sashimi, sushi, two chocolate fondue fountains, a pasta station, a shabu shabu station, etcetera. It was on par with the the Terrace buffet at the Grand Hyatt; perhaps a little better even.

60,000 won each.

grand hyatt buffet. 70K/person + VAT, service fee...

delicious spread of meats (steak, lamb, turkey, ham, roast, fish) and appetizers...great cheeses and really nice salads. cute desserts, too, and the brunch came with a glass of "Champagne."

well worth the money, i thought.

I didn't want to pay a crap-load of cash for turkey. I can live without it. I ended up going to some Greek restaurant in Itaewon. It wasn't as good as what I'm used to back home, but it was still pretty good, nevertheless.

If you're here next year, buy your tickets 2 weeks in advance as there won't be any seats anywhere if you wait until Christmas. Me, I had to wait and hope since I wasn't in Seoul to go buy the ticket from one of the places such as RMT, Wolfhounds, Suji's, or Ghettos.

Many westerners were searching for Christmas dinner in Itaewon and couldn't find it. There just wasn't enough turkey and trimmings to go around so they opted for anything just to cure hunger pangs as all the restaurants and stores were open. The workaholics and young lovers were out in full force.

If you have an oven, you're better off making your own holiday meals as you can get a few things in the Itaewon area such as frozen turkey, can pumpkin, can yams, cranberry sauce, and Stove Top dressing. There wasn't much for sale and I bought the last of what there was. One can of Bruce's yams, one can of Libby's pumpkin, one can of Carnation evaporated milk, and one 3lb Butterball turkey roast. You might get the Red Door lady to get more if you ask since she has access to the American stuff. I'm going to enjoy a great New Years dinner. Smile

Maris in Busan on Christmas day

Sfunz in Busan on the 27th with my school.

I know Maris is the general favourite amongst the foreigners on the Pusanweb boards, but I have to say that the buffet at Sfunz was infinitely better.
