I live in Jeonju and I'm sure I'll catch some h e l l for saying this, but there is F-all to do in Jeonju. That being said, you can check out the following website if you want more info on the Ju.

Okay, I don't live in Jeonju and I can list a lot of things that you should check out while you're there.
My top recommendations are the Jeonju Zoo and the Traditional Hanok Village -
Traditional Village has a bunch of little stores and places to check out, plus the Heritage Museum (not sure if it's called that in Korean, but it's in the same place) where you can participate in a traditional tea ceremony and a traditional meal, if you want to.
The zoo is a bit run down but has an amusement park inside it and has a good variety of animals, probably a 2-3 hour visit if you see the whole thing.
If you're just looking for shopping/drinking/eating, just head downtown, there's lots of places to spend money.
If you'll have a car with you the whole time, head over to the east side of the river and take a drive up and down the parallel street - there's a huge indoor/outdoor market that I love going to when I'm in Jeonju - sorry I can't be more specific about location but you'll know it when you see it, it takes over the whole street.
It's a beautiful area and I like the city, so I'm sure you'll find things to do. Enjoy! |
