hahahahha,

I see those commericals and I just flip out.

Hate it... especially when she tries to eat the card and pops it back out.

Although it might be worth getting on considering how often I go to the places featured on the commericals...

What exactly is the happypoint card?

I got the happy point card because it was free.

Everyone told me I should register it, however the website was all in Korean, and even when I got past that to entering my ARC ID#, it rejected me Rolling Eyes

Find a K-friend that will let you use their ID# for registering it, and get that free stuff!

Don't have a happy point card but have just about everyother card out there. Bit of a pain in the ass really. Always having to try and figure out which card to use at which place. I can pay off though. Generally get around W300,000 rebated back to my bank account every year. Dining out is considerably cheaper also. Last time at Outback Steakhouse dinner was free.

I had a HP card and racked up nearly 50,000 points on it at one point (lots and lots of ice cream). It was always funny watching the cashier give me my receipt and doble-take the number of points. "Do you know you can log on to the website and USE the points?" Yeah, I know.

Went to use them for an ice cream cake for a friend's birthday, and when they swiped my card I had all of 500 points on the card. No one could tell me where the other 49,500 points went, so I told them to keep the card. Why bother if I can't redeem my horde?

anyone had any success in redeeming the points? I only have 16k pts on my card but the cashiers are already bugging me to register online. Is it worth the trouble (anything actually good??) or should I just give it to my coteacher when I leave?

You may have noticed a pattern if you've been here long enough. Cashiers will hassle you to use your points every six months or so. This is because the points expire after six months - but only if you have registered your card. If you haven't registered, the points will accumulate forever.

I collected 15000won of points over the last three years. I finally got around to registering my card last month (which I had to do by phone because the website wouldn't recognize my ARC number) and got a nice ice-cream cake from BR. Sweet!

I have a happy point card. You can buy ice cream at baskin robbins using the points and get a discount! I got a 3,000 won cone for 2,500 points. Assah!

But wait - I am NOT an idiot. How dare you! Evil or Very Mad

My wife and I each have separate wallets just for our cards. You do end up saving quite abit. Last year i got W200,000 back and my wife got W300,000. Plus all the other discount/free stuff.

I still wish some one would come out with a single card that you could "load" all of your other cards onto. I'd pay for that service.
