Kim jong IL looses the plot, decides he doesnt want to die without trying to conquer the south or at least destroy it!

He unleashes his full load. 30.000 nuke tip missiles, cluster bombs, shock and awe! jets, navy, Biological warfare, bombs you name it!!!
the 2 million infantry, tanks, its all coming this way!

Before the USFK can counter attack, 80% of the load has hit its target,
Sirens are going off, people are in the streets screaming, dead bodies everywhere.
Mothes and fathers holding their dead children running in the streets, total panic amoung everyone and no order what so ever! black smoke covers the sky and if you thought ajumas were pushy in the subways you havent seen anything now

Buildings are collapsing, bridges and roads are destroyed, apartments crumbing!
12 million people all running! Total chaos in the streets! all running away from flames behind them and bombs going off just a couple miles from you..

You hear the tanks approaching from the north and the infantry has broken through the boarder they will be in Seoul within the hour!
You look around and its sheer chaos; bombs are still bombarding just miles from you... the sky is lit up like fireworks! dead bodies everywhere, over turned cars falling buildings
Fire and gas everywhere everything is totally burnt out. buildings , cars , shops you name it, victims all around you bodies with missing limbs, bodies of children and old people women and men!
your wife and children are screaming!
You are freaking out! You cant believe this is happening!!

You see your neighbors on the street! Their 9 year old kid is dead! They are crying and screaming, you notice which kid it was from your hakwon!! You cant believe it!!!
You are still in shock!
Traffic is a mess forgeddabout trying to move on the roads!! That aint happening!
Seems walking is the only way! , now you notice the USKF making their way through the city trying to get north to offer help to the soldiers at the dmz! , you notice GIS you use to drink with in Itaewon with scared looks on their face in the back of trucks heading north!
You hear old, ajossies behind you in trucks shouting In Korean, you dont even remember how to say hello in Korean now!
You ask your wife what are they are saying?! she says they are asking for all men aged from 19- 40 to report for duty! and get on the trucks!!
You ask yourself does that mean me too or only Koreans?
you think about your korean friends and students who will be fighting!
you look around and all you see is despair! a black smokey city, falling apart with the sounds of crying, screams and bombs!!!

you can't believe this!! 1 hour ago you were teaching in a hakwon and sending a text message to your friend! and now this!!!

You wife is screaming !! YEEEEOBO!!! YEEEEOBO!! Whats happening!!???

you are still in a daze and totally confused!

A bomb goes off just a few meters from you and destroys the building next you...
Body parts flying everywhere!!! and more screams! and crying from the people around...

you wife sreams!!

"YEOOOOOOBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOO"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

whadda you do! whadda you do? (Keanu reeves voice-speed)

But seriously though, what do you do?
do you stay and help the koreans fight? do you travel south and hop on a ferry to japan, will they even let you leave? what if they only let foreigners leave, but not your wife !
do you stay and voluntarily teach English in the camps? hahahahaha
do you help out in aid?
this will be a serious problem! it will be like what most of our grandparents went through in the world wars or vietnam!

As much as this is unlikely to happen! Lets not forget where we live!
Sure this is not the gaza strip! But the north and south are at war and this is the most guarded boarder in the world for a reason! There is a threat of danger here, and its not impossible that this wont happen. Might just be a matter of when and if it does happen!
It would be worse than I can describe..Im sure we have all thought about the North attacking..

anyway something to ponder for the day..
Happy new year yall

Triage, dig out bodies, dodge shrapnel. Repeat til death.
I guess eventually I'd flee, if I had the option.

Come to think of it, I guess I'd go to the bottle shop and snag a couple of them hard to get boozes I can't normally afford, so as to stay cheerful while tending the inumerable horrific injuries.

Maybe hit a yakguk for some pain meds too? I dunno.

What would YOU do, itaewonguy?

I hope this doesn't happen!

Anyway, I've always wanted to live in Japan. After the last four wonderful days in Tokyo and Hakone, I'll make the run to Tokyo if things start to look ugly.

The first thing I'd do is check myself into a psych ward and ask for an antidote for acid flashbacks from 40 years ago. Once I got my head straight again I'd go back to work.

This kind of reminds me if that episode of Simpsons when Sideshow Bob steals a nuclear bomb, and everyone's freaking out, and then when he sets it off, all that comes out is a little tiny puff of smoke. I predict the same thing will happen if North Korea attacks.

You look after your family, that's what you do. Those people are relying on you.

Let the soldiers fight, until you personally are backed into a corner.

It's funny this topic came up. I asked a few Korean friends of mine if they ever think about that situation. One guy said it will never happen, one guy said he had no idea. The one response that tickled me the most was by this woman. She said, "I will just sit with my family and wait to die." In a real world situation, S. Korea/CFC/USFK will have some kind of notice. Like massive troop build-ups along the DMZ, or increased activity at the ADA/missle sites. But also on the table is all Kim Jong Ill has to do is pick up the phone and say "fire" and missles will launch with no warning at all. Yes, the Patriot's here will shoot down a lot of them, but all it takes is one missle to hit Seoul and this place will go into the Dark Ages in seconds. Can't you see some noisy little high school girls messing with their phones when Boom! crap starts blowing up. Ommma! Sucks for you if your on the subway. The top of Bukansan/Dobongsan would make for a great view. As for me, some poor MILF is gonna get it hard right where she stands.

Bad Jong bad JOng
Watcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do
when Kim Jong Il comes for you
Bad Jong, bad Jong
Watcha gonna do

I would definitely be shocked if NK troops breached the minefield and came pouring into South Korea. Then, collect my valuables and head to the embassy and see what they`re doing about evacuations outta here. All else fails, prepare to take as many midget North Korea soldiers out in a blaze of glory.

Run for the East coast and attempt to swim to Japan! And hope it wasn't Winter time so that the Sea of Japan, uh, I mean East Sea of Korea, is not too cold on my arse.

I wouldn't expect the US embassy to be any more help than a complaining bump on a log with a foul attitude.

hahah not a bad idea. We`ll be like Cuban raft refugees taking anything that floats and trying to make it to Japanese soil. Busaners are quite lucky as they`ll probably be behind the Busan perimeter II and not see much fighting.

Did you see what the US Air Force did to Saddam's tanks? No Nork tanks will get anywhere near Seoul.
