Wifey told me this story is all over the news, though all I can find is that the guy was a museum general(!?), and it wasn't clear whether he is still active in Korea. Anyone else heard about this?

He is not and was never a General or even an officer in the US Military. He is entirely a civilian employee with a long standing musem currator history, in fact at some prestigous US facilities. He was actually arrested in Arkansas after traveling from Korea to engage in a sexual trist with a woman and, who he thought was her underage daughter (of course turning out to be undercover officers). The investigation began after computer CD's containing more than 100 pornographic images of children were mailed and intercepted. He remains in Federal custody in Arkansas pending charges and the like.
Check out the Stars and Stripes web site for information regarding these kinds of news events (ie. military). Often, the information is pretty flowing and unadulterated. Lots of untoward things tend to go on and the military is fairly straight-forward in its release.
