If I take this Pagoda contract, is it possible for them to pay my key money for a shared apartment/room only?
I have seen several shared places offered for example on Craigslist Korea for around 350-400k per month. Still, I suppose saving 200-300k a month is nothing much to write home about is it? Or is it? |

Actually people on here say Seoul is expensive for renting, but for someone from the UK, 600k-700k a month is �330-�380 per month. In the UK, you can only rent a ROOM for this amount of money. London is obviously MORE for a room unless it's 45min tube ride from central london.
Also, I read somewhere Seoul is more expensive than Tokyo now but someone criticised this saying they used expensive hotel room rates to calculate, rather than an average apartment or hotel.
But anyways, 600-700k a month for a studio/1bed is cheaper than they would be in the UK (prob starts from 700k a month in the Uk and up)
so, why all the fuss? |

Probably because there's been a huge increase in the cost of living over the past five years or so, and salaries haven't kept pace. And with the lower value of the won, it's harder for those with debts to pay their bills and still maintain a decent standard of living. |
