Ok, I'm sick and tired of the school I work for, for various reasons, none of which I really important to my question, I guess. But my question is this: I'm looking for a couple position with a reasonable contract, at a school where they treat you well. What's the best way to go about finding one?

I'm in Korea now, and can get released legally from my contract in 30 days. My fiance and I are well qualified (American, teaching credentials, ESL experience, etc), so that shouldn't be an issue.

Any help or suggestions (or leads) would be appreciated.

Thanx

just search around. like at dave's own jobs vacancy board. look at english spectrum, then go for an interview and see the school and your co-workers. make sure you have plenty of question to ask your pontential employer. if it feels bad, your gut feeling, then walk away.

i have seen, when i first arrived, many couple positions on jeju.

here's another thing you should think about. hve you worked in a couple postition before? you didn't state whether your current position was couple? well, imagine working, day in and day out, with the same person that you are a couple with. if you think your relationship could take this sort of strain then you are ok. otherwise, think about getting seperate jobs.

Thanks for the reply.

We are currently in a couple position, and it isn't bad at all that way. We get along well.

I do like your suggestion of going for interviews and looking around. I'll do that.

Thanks Smile

Hey man...just wanted to say that if you look for couple positions on Jeju (which is an absolutely beautiful island - - my wife and I taught there for 4 months) do not even consider working for a school called SISA Foreign Language Institute...directors name is Mr. Roh. I know he is looking for people, and he is a smooth talker. But you will get nothing but hate and trouble from this man. I won't go into details...just check out my previous threads...just thought I would let you know. If you can...go to Jeju...it rocks...just make sure you do your research.

Peace
