Geez! This search function was totally worthless in looking for info about buying a cell phone in Korea. I'm sure it's been discussed.

Can somebody point me to some good threads about that subject?

I recently changed jobs and had to give my previous cell phone back to my old school. Now I've got a used phone that I bought in Itaewon. It's very un-user-friendly so I'm considering just signing up for whatever kind of plan they have here.

I'm assuming it's something similar to in the US? You sign up for a year and there's different usage level plans, right?

Since there seems to be 4 cell phones in every block and also since the few store personnel I've met so far don't speak very good English, I can see I'm going to have to know what I'm getting into before I go in.
