This is spin-off thread, but it is one that peaks my interest.

What hobbies did you have back in your homeland that you have not been able to do here due to whatever reason?

My top two are most likely surfing and playing golf anytime that I feel like doing either. It might be strange that someone that surfs plays golf too, but whatever.

Where are you from? I'm from Hawaii and mine are similar to yours. I really miss the golf. I would usually play 9 hole twilight in the afternoons on average 3 to 4 times a week. I used to be an 8 handicap but I've been in Korea for over 3 years now so all I shoot for is breaking 100 again. Breaking 90 is considered a really good round. I also miss the snorkeling, diving and the ocean in general. Not to mention the beautiful ocean view from my room at my parents house.

I'm from Florida. I went home this past summer and got a good dose of each, but damn do I miss those kinds of things. I actually surprised myself having not picking up the sticks or board in a few years. Smile

Back home I actually have a 36' x 36' woodworking shop. I love woodworking and making stuff. Was starting stained glass work before coming here. I have enough tools here to make just about anything but kind of hard to on the 13th floor of our building.
