I got an AC unit installed last summer and I was thinking of selling it. The thing is it didn't come with my apartment so I got it installed on my own. And they had to drill a hole through a wall for the tubing. I need to make sure I get my deposit back.

Anyone have experience selling something to their landlords that they put in their place, or have trouble getting their deposit because of something like... a hole in the wall?

Thanks.

I think your landlord will try to lowball you as much as possible if you do try to sell it to him or her. If it's in near mint condition, look to get at least 2/3rds of what you paid for it.
