|

I quit my job after 4 months but did manage to get a LOR from my employer. I also turned in my ARC on the way out of Incheon. I came back awhile later to visit a friend and got a tourist stamp. I flew out of the country and came back a third time and got held up by immigration because my E2 was actually still valid and the immigration officer was dumbfounded by why they gave me a tourist stamp on that second trip (as was I).
So basically my old E2 is still active despite turning in my ARC. My old employer and I had a falling out so contacting them is out of the question. Don't they have to cancel my visa if I am no longer employed by them? With the LOR I should be able to cancel the visa with no call or visit from my former employer?
I should probably contact immigration directly and will but wanted to get some insight from others first. |

Immigration cancels your visa, not your employer. YOu should have taken your LOR to immigration to get it cancelled before you left the first time. |

Weird that it wasn't canceled when turning it in at the airport. Might have gotten lost in the system. Well, these things happen, no system is infallible. |
